Can you add domain authentication to QVR Surveillance? After you get the web client working, this is probably the only thing keeping me from migrating customers from Synology to QNAP for surveillance. I know there is a QVR Pro license that adds a bunch of camera channels and functionality including domain authentication for $500 to the older QVR Pro system. But QVR Surveillance claims to have feature parity with QVR Pro without that license. The only thing missing I can tell is allowing users to log into QVR surveillance with their domain credentials. Domain authentication is already included on QNAP so we shouldn’t need to pay $500 to get that one feature for the cameras.
Hi @Matthew949 the QVR Surveillance does support AD/LDAP domain users, and this functionality does not require a QVR Pro Gold license.
If your NAS is already joined to an AD domain or connected to an LDAP server, you should be able to select “Domain Users” in QVR Surveillance under Surveillance Privileges and assign the appropriate surveillance permissions to those users.
