There was a recent email about partnering with Plex, and offering a discount. It linked several AMD based units with CPUs that arent compatible with Plex transcoding. This doesnt make any sense. I have a TVS-h874 that works fantastic for Plex/Transcoding with a Core i7, but I really hate that its a desktop model that takes up 5u when placed on a shelf in a rack. There should really be a 2u, shallow depth unit with the same type of CPU to properly run Plex in a rackmount unit without having to add on a GPU, especially considering quicksync significantly outperforms affordable video cards in terms of number of simultaneous transcodes.
