RE:drive size mis reporting

I have 2 Qnap NAS, a TS212 with QTS 4.3.3and a QNap TS253-Pro with QTS 5.2.2.2950. All drives are set to JBOD.

I also have very few APPs installed. Not using any snapshot or storage pooling on any drive.

Both have a 4tb and a 8tb drives. Drives are formatted with EXT4.

TS212 4tb drive shows 3709.73 GB w/ 1071.98 free. And the 8TB shows 7420.94 GB W/ 2777.55GB free

TS253-PRO 4TB shows 3.64 TB w/ .97 TB free. And the 8TB shows 7.14 TB and .89 TB free.

On the 8 TB on the TS253-PRO drive, on windows, the properties box in windows shows 157,261 files and 9,322 folder and the size on disk is 2.2 TB (2,450,149,830,656 bytes) 87.54% used

On the 8TB on the TS212, on windows, the properties box in windows shows 4.53 TB (4,984,288,681,984 bytes) but I have only used 62.57%.

Somewhere in here the new modern math must have slipped in here.

I use FolderMatch 4.2.9 to manually match both 8TB drives to each other, as well as the 2 4TB drives, but 4.53TB somehow doesn’t match 2.2 TB.
Here is a DUF report too:
/share/CACHE │ 3.6T │ 2.6T │ 996.4G │ 72.7% │ ext4 │ /dev/mapper/ │
│ DEV1_DATA │ │ │ │ │ │ cachedev1 │
│ /share/CACHE │ 7.1T │ 6.3T │ 907.1G │ 87.6% │ ext4 │ /dev/mapper/ │
│ DEV2_DATA │ │ │ │ │ │ cachedev2
I have emptied both recycle bins on both 8 TB drives, and they are 2.13 TB different.
It might just be easier to format the drive and copy the folders back on.
Any Ideas?

Solved. I deleted the shared folders thinking that they were deleted like Windows folders, delete folder/delete files.
went into control panel, Privilege/shared folder, restored the deleted folders and reconnected to the files associated with these folders, the redeleted the folders with the “also delete files” settings checked.
Rookie Linux mistake.
Thanks dolbyman, you made me think to search differently.
