Replacement of QNAP with compatible

Hello

I have QNAP TS-451+, I need to replace with a compatible one, that will support the the Drives written by TS-451+, restore data, with more bays.

Can you suggest a better and compatible one QNAP?

Regards

Hi and welcome to the forum.

How many additional drive bays are you looking for?

Do you want the new NAS to support M.2 drives? SATA or NVMe?

The TS-451+ is an intel based unit so it is compatible with any of the Intel based QNAP NAS units. How much you want to spend to upgrade is entirely dependent on your budget.

As @OneCD asks, please provide us with more details on what you want in a new unit.

You can also use the migration checker to make sure that you can migrate from your NAS model to another:

Hi alcbuglas,

Since you specifically want more bays, I’d suggest looking at the TS-664 as the direct upgrade path from a TS-451+. It gives you 6 bays instead of 4, newer Intel hardware, dual 2.5GbE, M.2 NVMe SSD support and supports NAS migration from older Intel-based models. Just verify the target model using the QNAP Migration Compatibility Checker before moving the drives.
