Restore HDP Backup fails

Hi there,

I’m trying to restore an backup created by HDP PC Agent using the HDP Recovery Media Creator Tool.

The backup itself seems valid when checking on my nas, has a plausible size of ~120GB and I can access the data, seems fine so far.

When I boot from the usb drive I am able to log in to my NAS and I can select my inventory with the backup job and the version I want to restore.
Mapping my Original Disk to Target Disk also seems fine, its the only disk anyway.

First potential problem I spotted is on the Restore Summary,
the backup date stated here is different (newer) than the version I selected (probably from a newer, not working? machine state), but I’m unsure if I’m just missinterpreting the field.

But once I start restoring, I’m immediatly hit with the following error on NAS side, while the recovery tool on the troubled machine seems to be stuck at pre-processing forever:

Used Versions:
HDP for PC/VM: v2.3.3.698
HDP Recovery Media Creator: 1.0.0.122

The backup itself though was created with an older version of HDP, as the creation happend a while back in December 25.

Is there anything I can do to debug further?
The Error message provided does not really provide any insight…
