I was going to create a volume on my 8-bay TL-D800C connected to a TVS-874 but by default, I can’t select any of the 8 disks (Seagate IronWolf Pro 30TB) and errored with “risk of failure… predictive migration on disks”
Seagates own and the SMART test come back good health on both disks.
Hi, quick question: do you still need the data on the drives in your TL enclosure?
If you don’t need the data: Simply connect the drives to a Windows PC and use Disk Management to wipe all partitions. Once cleared, plug them back into the NAS and they should be ready to use.
If you need the data (and it’s from a QNAP NAS): You can try the “Attach and Recover” feature as shown in the image below.
If the data is NOT from a QNAP NAS: This gets a bit more complicated. To ensure your data stays safe, it’s best to open a support ticket and let us take a closer look.
