we have an TS-435XeU and bought 2 Samsung 990 Plus 2TB nvme. It is the correct model according to the compability list. However when installing them (or just one) the NAS is not booting. It will only make one beep.
I had a crucial p310 1tb lying around and when installing that one, the nas boots no problem. When installing the Samsung into a laptop, they get dectected no problem in the samsung magician software but show a newer firmware than the compability list (2B2QKXG7 instead of the 1B2QKXG7 mentioned in the compability list).
Is it likely that a firmware update will totally brick the compability of the M.2 ? It seems samsung also doesnt allow installing older firmwares on their drives. so backdating seems not an option.
What are my options here, do i need new m.2 drives? any help would be appreciated.
