I’m a new QNAP user; a TS-464-8G replaced my ancient NAS and I’m trying to get it set up to do automated backups of various server and desktop machines. My servers run proxmox for virtualization and periodically create a complete backup of each virtualized server. I’d like to copy those backups to the NAS; on my old NAS, I just had a cron job that periodically sftp’d to each proxomx server and snarfed up the backup images. I can’t figure out how to do that from the QNAP NAS; I installed QuFTP, but it doesn’t seem to support sftp (and I’m certainly not going to run ftp on an externally-facing server).

Is there a way with the QNAP NAS to download a file via sftp from a remote server?

Thank you @Toxic, I appreciate the link; I’m hoping that QNAP has something official/supported and sftp support doesn’t seem like a big ask for a network storage appliance. I’m trying to beef up security on my systems and so am reluctant to install a non-official package.
