Smartshare file not working

Since some days, I trying to share a file using Smart Share, but once the link is created, nothing happen in share page.

Then error “Unable to retrieve data from your device. This may be a network issue, or the device may be offline. Please try again later or contact the owner of the sharing link. (2010002)”

Hmm.

That pic doesn’t tell us much. What version of the OS? Where are you creating the share from? What is your NAS? Etc.

Yes sorry…

I create link with File Station, right clic Share → Create link

TS-453B, QTS 5.2.8.3359

OK. So you are in file station. Because that doesn’t look like file station from your picture.

So I am going to ask again, can you please post a better picture of what you are doing and let us know what version File Station, etc.

When I create a smart share from file station it looks nothing like your picture.

And there is no, “Share → Create Link”

There is “Share → Create share link only”

Or maybe you are using File Station 6. But we don’t know…

I never said my screenshot came from File Station. It comes from the webpage when you click on the link generated by File Station. There’s a large myQNAPCloud title in my screenshot.

Yes, “Share → Create share link only”. I’m not English, so I don’t know the name of that function in english.

The problem is not with link generation, but with accessing the shared file (SmartShare).

OK. I understand. So it looks like the connection between your NAS and MyQNAP cloud might be down. Have you checked the status of MyQNAPCloud on the NAS? Is everything good and logged in?

Do you have a test file you could post here with a link. Feel free to send me a private message with it instead of posting it here.

Are you able to access the NAS (not the sharelink) via SmartURL ? is the issue only with SmartShare links ?

My problem seems to be solved.

When I opened the “Share Links” tab in myQNAPcloud, I got this message. I clicked “Repair Now” and my links are now accessible.

Repair broken shared link

Due to a change in the device’s network configuration, the device name has been changed or reused by another device. These shared links will not work properly.

Great! Glad you got it fixed!
