Hello, I am new to NAS and Qnap, so I`ve learning to use it, I rather use Smartshare link generation to share files directly from my TS-216G NAS, with links that can be opened in any browser and files directly downloaded from my toshiba 300 pro in real time.
However, I have noticed that even if my internet speed is 1Gbps down / Up, the recipient can only download at about 800kbps more or less. Download station and uploading from HBS 3 maxes up my upload and download speed if necessary.
I read about “limitations” myQNAPcloud ; but 800 kbps in 2025 is miserable.
Am I doing anything wrong? Is it normal to be that slow? If so, is there any solution that doesn´t involve using external clouds and would let reach a decent upload / download speed when sharing files from the NAS?.
