On models with redundant power supplies, the UPS module only allows defining a single SNMP UPS server. This defeats the purpose of dual PSUs: each PSU can be fed from a separate UPS, but the NAS can only monitor one of them
Request: allow configuring two independent SNMP UPS units on models that have two power supplies, with configurable shutdown logic - e.g. initiate auto-protection / shutdown only when both UPS units report on-battery / low-battery, not when a single one does
Why: with one UPS monitored, a 30+ min runtime on a single UPS triggers auto-protection (volumes unmounted, manual re-entry of encryption passwords required) even though the second PSU/UPS still has mains power. True PSU redundancy should survive one UPS going to battery
Current UPS configuration options in QTS are very limited - no per-UPS timing, no redundancy logic. Please consider adding native support for two SNMP UPS units with redundancy-aware shutdown in a future QTS release
