Task sorting option in HBS3

It’s really unfortunate that the QNAP software, and specifically HBS3, does not allow sorting or displaying backup tasks according to their actual execution order.

I have created several backup jobs to and from different OneDrive accounts, and even when using the “Start after…” option, there is no way to clearly see in which order HBS3 will launch the tasks.

This makes management and monitoring more complicated, especially when multiple dependent backups need to run in sequence.
Having a view or sorting option based on execution order would be very helpful to understand the workflow and avoid conflicts or unnecessary delays.

Fixed the French title

Try this little gem.

Once you have all your NAS’s connected, choose “Backup & Sync” Then click on the “Next Run” column to sort by run time.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll forward this request to our internal team for evaluation. We’d also like to ask — how many accounts and how many tasks do you typically have running? Would you mind sharing your use case with us?

If you are asking me, 7NAS’s, 160 jobs.

Hello,

I use this system to back up several OneDrive accounts. Although Microsoft’s infrastructure provides a high level of security, I prefer to keep an additional copy of my important data — documents, photos, folders, and various backups — to protect against risks such as theft or fire.

Here is the current structure of my backups:

  • Backup of a folder containing my documents to a OneDrive directory.

  • Backup of a folder containing my photos to a OneDrive directory.

  • Backup of a folder containing various device and software backups to a OneDrive directory.

  • Backup of my OneDrive to a folder on the NAS.

  • Backup of my wife’s OneDrive to a folder on the NAS.

  • Backup of my mother’s OneDrive to a folder on the NAS.

This is how I use the system on a daily basis.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
