I have a database with around 150k images that I want to view on different devices using QuMagie. Since the thumbnails load very slowly, I was hoping that adding an NVMe SSD would speed things up. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to move the thumbnails to this SSD, and so I’m not seeing any improvement in speed. Is there a way to move the QuMagie thumbnails to the SSD or have them generated there? I migrated the app itself to the SSD, but that didn’t help. Even deleting all the thumbnails and partially regenerating them didn’t result in them being stored on the SSD. It would be great if there were a way to save thumbnails directly on an SSD.
SSD cache (cache acceleration) helps, but it’s not the ideal solution.
