TS-264 Can't Output to External Monitor

I have a TS-264 ( Working ) and have Plugged it in via HDMI to my Computer Monitor, But it is Blank, No Picture at All.
I have a Remote ( RM-IR004 ) that I salvaged from another model, but I can’t seem to get it working with that either.
I have noticed , just looking around the Net, there was some Mention that they Say ( if your NAS Supports HDMI Output ).
Now I would have thought that If there is a HDMI Socket , then it Should Work…
Or does 1+1 not equal 2 anymoore .???

By default there is no output on HDMI you would have to install HybridDeskStation on the NAS.

Be aware that NAS are not great playback devices, you would probably be best advised to use a chromcast/android stick/apple TV/roku/etc

Amen to that! HybridDeskStation is awful. I tried it. The version of Chrome installed is old and not current. If you don’t install Chrome and select Firefox, HybridDeskStation still uses Chrome for everything.

The HD video system there uses an old version of the Kody media player and it is absolutely awful. I don’t understand how/why anyone would choose to use it. It all looks like it was great tech from about 15 years ago but not in 2025.

@dolbyman is correct - Use Plex or some other media server with the NAS.

The only really useful thing you can do with monitors on a NAS is use the output for one of the Virtual Machine functions.
