Is there a way to upgrade this NAS to 2.5GbE or 5GbE internet connection? How?

I had no idea such a device existed. Thanks. I was looking for something that would install internally but I don’t know if such a thing exists for that particular NAS. What you suggest might work because the NAS does have 4 USB 3.2 gen 1 (a.k.a. USB 3.0) ports. The next question is will the operating system allow one of those port to be used in place of the standard interface connection. Which makes me wonder what speed the standard interface connection is. I can’t find a manual for this model anymore.
I managed to find the specs. The max read/write speeds are 414/5.47 MB/s or 3.31/0.043 Gbs. So, a 5Gbs connection would benefit my reads but is wasted on my writes. My network was upgraded to 2.5Gbs last year so it really looks like writing is my bottle neck and since my biggest use is for backup a faster connection isn’t going to help me. Oh, well.

One sounds like you meant Wifi and makes no sense in that context
