TS-464 Replacement: TS-H465 --> U.S. Retail Release Date?

Considering the TS-464, I saw this: TS-H465 and H265 Revealed at Computex 2026 and wondered when they would be entering the U.S. retail pipeline?

Currently only ‘new’ NAS announced were this

and

ts-h665

ts-h865

become exist

so

265 and 465

on the road to trip

I current have a circa 2017 TS-453Be NAS and I am planning to upgrade to the new TS-H465 model when it becomes available this year. Any ideas when exactly this might occur?

The TS-h865 is now available on the German QNAP website. So I think the release should happen soon (maybe?)

The new TS-h465 is a TS-h665 (4 Bay)

You can buy the new NAS only in some QNAP official store

Technically this device is a 6 bay unit hence the term “665” designation. There are four full size bays and 2 NVME bays.

It’s not available in the US yet.

We had the same discussion in the German forum, QNAP (now) counts all hotswappable bays in the number, but ommits on board NVMe.

Wow thanks for the information! So odd that they change from 4 to 6 in the naming scheme… I understand why they add the SSD slots, but really the first number always told you the form factor, so now that is out the door.

Not really. Some of the 12 or 16 bay units have 4 small bays and 8 large ones, etc.

It’s smart they are making the NVMe boards hot swappable now.

Storage may be slowly moving from spinning platters to SSD’s, but changing the naming sequence before that happens is really confusing. [What isn’t moving slowly however, is the cost escalation for storage in general…jeez!] But I digress…adding a dot after the HD count to signify SSD’s and then a dash to signify model number would have been more explanative to the consumer as in: TS-H4.2-64. But it looks like the change is a done deal.

Yeah but you can put SSDs in the large bays as well. I think it make sense that if the drive bay is hot swappable then it’s counted in the model number (ie: TS-h665). If it has internal drive slots then it is not counted (ie: TS-873A).

Another problem is a nas-migration
TS-664 → 6 Bay (6 x HDD + 2 x NMVE-SSD)
TS-h665 → 6 Bay (4 x HDD + 2 x NMVE-SSD)
TS-h665U → 6 Bay (4 x HDD + 2 x NMVE-SSD)
But the new TS-h665 is not in the list only the TS-h665U

Still waiting for the TS-H665 U.S. retail release date? Other than frequently checking here or on-line in general, is there a better way to ascertain, or be notified when these can be purchased?
