If you want to speed things up, you can use the port forwarding function on your router.

First, go to the NAS control panel to set the NAS port number.

*http is a regular connection, https is an encrypted connection. If you need an encrypted connection, you need DDNS and an SSL certificate (QNAP provides this).

Then, go to the router control panel to set up forwarding.
