I have my TS 133 scheduled to shutdown at 3 am which it does. The problem is that it has been starting up again immediately after shutting down. I suspect that it happens if I leave a USB drive plugged in. Possibly, on completion of shutdown, the USB drive is seen a freshly plugged in and a process is initiated to bring it on line. I am not sure if this is a bug or there is an option, “Wake on USB” perhaps
, that I need to disable. Meanwhile I am unplugging the drive each time I am finished with it.
What happens when you do not have the drive plugged in? Does it still reboot after shutdown?
That’s right, it only happens when I leave the USB drive plugged in.
I think I remember cases like that.
Try to either use a different drive or maybe try a powered USB hub between the NAS and the drive.
Hi, could you please tell us the model of the USB drive you are using and which port you have plugged it into? Thanks!
The USB drive is a Seagate Backup Plus Portable Drive, connected to the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port
Based on further experience, it may not be related to a USB drive being connected I will try to observe just what the circumstances are when an apparently uncommanded restart uccurs.
Hi, is this similar issue still recurring for you?
I haven’t seen it happen recently. If it happens again I will report it.
