Hey folks,
First, my user status: end user with basic knowledge.
I’ve been trying unsuccessfully for a while now to use my TS210 as network storage (4 PCs) at home under WIN10.
Technical specs:
TS201 / 2.3.0 Build 0825T / 2 drives (500GB each) / RAID 1
Current status:
- Hardware
- Laptop ZBook 15 (PC1, 64-bit OS, WIN10 Pro version 22H2)
- TS201 connected to router via LAN
- TS201 reset with reset button
- After switching on OK → LEDs light up as expected – long beep occurs
- Software:
- Qfinder Pro 7.13.2 → installed on ZBook (connected to router via Wi-Fi), works → TS201 is found
- Login to TS201 successful
- PING successful
Goal:
Set up a folder structure on the TS201 that can be accessed from all PCs in the home network
Problem:
-
I can’t manage to connect the TS201 in Windows Explorer so that it appears just like e.g. a USB stick
-
Updating to 4.2.6 fails → "Warning – System update error
Error updating the system! Check the website where you downloaded the image file for more information, or contact technical support."
-
The instructions I found are for WIN 95 or thereabouts
-
When trying to mount the network drive in Qfinder, I get the error message “Could not connect to the network drives on ‘NAS’”
Can someone finally help me escape my never-ending failed installation attempts?
Greetings from Reutlingen
Manfred
