Hi,
2 months ago, I replaced a QNAP 10Gb LAN-10G2T-U on a TVS-882. The card ports wouldn’t light up anymore and the QNAP couldn’t be access through these ports anymore.
So we ordered a QNAP QXG-10G2T. Once replaced, the ports would blink properly, QTS network interface states the Adapter is “Connected” and speed 10Gb, using same IP as the previous card. But QNAP is not accessible through both ports.
TVS-882 runs QTS 5.2.5.3145
10Gb ports are connected to a Netgear S3300-52X ProSAFE 48-Port Gigabit Stackable Smart Switch with 4 10G uplinks
Both ports on the switch show 10G link speed (same for QTS)
Used different computers to connect through the switch or directly (without the switch), mostly my MacBook Pro 2019 with macOS 13.6.7 and a Mac mini M1 2020 with macOS 12.1
All 4 1Gb ports of the TVS-882 are working fine, separately or trunked, directly or through the same switch 10Gb ports.
I’m exchanging with QNAP support for while now about this issue.
We have tried many things like reseating the card, RMA the card and getting a second new one, changing the IP, trying different subnets between, reset the card, updating QTS, and probably other things I don’t recall.
So, the same network adapter settings that work on any of the 4x 1Gb ports won’t work on any of 2x 10Gb ports (can’t even ping the IP).
Like I said, QNAP support is on it and has remote access and has escalated the ticket, but I’m leaving this here, in case anyone else has experienced the same issue.
Thanks
