Good morning,
I haven’t been able to access my NAS from my PC for about 4 days, this happened after the power in the house came back on.
NAS IP address as unsafe, my credentials are incorrect or account expired. I have important documents, since when I return the phone synchronizes the files in the NAS.
Can you help me? Thank you
Have your tried connection to the NAS (unknown model) via Qfinder, just in case the ip address changed?
if you are getting to the username/pwd prompt and your crendtials are not working you will need to reset the nas.
Please read the above page before following the process. it does not reset the whole nas (as long as the reset button is only pressed for 3 seconds) be patient too as this can take a few minutes.
default passwords are listed here:
Thanks for the reply, my nas model is TS-230.
-
I used the 3 second procedure
-
I used the key cloud, information present using qfinder
-
in both cases error message that the credentials are incorrect or the account has expired.
-
the credentials have always been the same and never changed also because, as already mentioned, my cell phone synchronizes as soon as I’m home.
Can you help me please.
when you reset the nas (3 seconds) it will default to the username “admin” and the password will be defaulted to whatever the QNAP QTS version that is running as stated in the 2nd link I provided.
“the credentails have always been the same” - until you had a power outage. I am guessing this has corrupted the NAS in some way.
the 3 second reset usualy works without any issue, especially using qfinder one the reset has completed.
Just a note moving forward.
A UPS (Uninterupted Power Supply) gives you a backup power supply. It will detect an outage and either keep the nas up after the power supply has been lost, then either shuts down the NAS gracefully after a set amount of time (protecting the NAS) or when the power comes back on, the NAS stays on.
Also do you have backups of the NAS data? A NAS is a storage device, but should not be treated as a pure backup solution. You could either backup the NAS’s essential data to either another NAS/DAS/USB drive or a cloud service. that way is you loose a NAS you stil have the data elsewhere.
if your still having issues raise a ticket with QNAP. maybe they can get into your NAS.
