unable to access NAS using Safari or Firefox after unchecking "Enable secure connection (HTTPS)" box

I was unable to connect to my NAS drive using Firefox but was able to connect using Safari after going through warning that the connection was not secure. In Safari, I unchecked the box in the System / General Settings page thinking that I would be able to use an unsecured connection from Safari or Firefox.

Unfortunately, I am unable to access the NAS drive anymore.

In Firefox, I receive the following message in the address bar: “https://192.168.1.25/redirect.html?count=0.23349160818128867”. The “count” decimal changes each time I try and sometime I don’t even get that message.

In Safari, I receive a message that says “Failed to open page” and tells me “You are not connected to the internet. This page cannot be displayed because your computer is currently offline.”

I have shutdown the NAS using the power button but am still not able to access the drive. I also rebooted my MacBook and cleared the cache on Firefox.

The NAS drive is visible in QFinder Pro and I can access the folders using Finder.

Any help to restore access to the NAS through Safari or Firefox would be greatly appreciated.
