Unable to fully uninstall QSync Client 6.0.0.2522

After upgrading QSync Client on a Windows 11 laptop to 6.0.0.2522, the QSync icon in the system tray shows “Connecting…” for 5-10 minutes (was almost instant with the previous QSync Client).

I decided to uninstall 6.0.0.2522 and use the previous version, but the uninstall is stuck in limbo.

After uninstalling (using Windows setting’s “installed apps” list), the list still lists QSync Client as installed. Clicking “Uninstall” again fails because the uninstall exe file cannot be found.

If I try to install the previous version, it fails because “a newer version is installed”.

How do I remove all traces of 6.0.0.2522?

It sounds like the initial installation went wrong. Try re-installing qsync client v6, reboot, then uninstall. V6 has issues anyway, you’re better off with the last V5.

Good advice.

I reinstalled 6.0.0.2522 and it went OK (it had to scan the sync folders from scratch but it remembered the setup).

I’ll see if that version still acts up. If it does I’ll try to uninstall it again.

Thanks.
