Unable to set up a pool or volume TR-004

Hi

I am hoping someone can help please

I have a QNAP NAs 451+ with 4 hard drives which is now full

With advise I purchased a TR-004 and 2 hard rives and configured a raid 1.

I see see the TR-004 but cannot use it and cannot crate a thick or thin volume not a storage pool

I am not great with tech but have googled and tried numerous things

Can someone help me please

Is the TR-004 set to software controlled mode? (dip switches on the back)

Yes it is set to software on the back

I have just managed to get it running I deleted the raid group and started again

So fingers crossed
