I have 1-5 seconds power outtage sometimes, I would like to protect my QNAP. 1. Does anyone used UPS Power Walker Line-Interactive 600VA SCL with QNAP?
2. Will QNAP be able to read status from this UPS and shutdown correctly?
3. 6ms switching time is ok for QNAP?
Best to stick to UPS models from the compatibility list (APC should be an approved/compatible manufacturer)
Hi, thanks a lot. I checked compatibility list, however I didn’t find UPS model which corresponds to my budget. That’s why I am asking about experience with lower segment
You should reveal your geographic area and budget
Poland (Europe). 200 eur (240 USD)
I can find a APC by Schneider Electric Back UPS PRO 650VA - BR650MI for 168Euros at Amazon.de (173.65 + 5.99 for Poland delivery)
Poland and Germany should have the same voltage and power plugs, so that unit should be available to you and within budget
BR650MI has strange data port. It’s not an USB, so it requires some RJ45/USB cable. Does QNap recognizes such cable as correct USB port? Did anyone test if QNap is able to receive information about outtage and existing UPS through such communication?
The cable that converts it to USB, is packed with it
No problem
