Hi, I am having trouble getting Hybrid Mount on QNAP TS-216G to work with a shared folder on a Windows 11 PC.
I have created a user account (and give full control of the shared folder) specifically for this purpose and the network share is accessible from other pcs and devices on the network.
The setup wizard can access the drive as well because when I click on the browser button in the destination folder section, it lists the top level shared drives.
However, once I click on the listed shared folders, qnap complains that is unable to connect to the remote service.
I get the same messages when I click on the create button as well.
I have tried this with the AV and firewall disabled on the windows pc but it seems to make not difference.
Yes. I am 95% certain that the problem is not with the way the share is setup , as I said, I can access the shared drive from other pcs on the network.
The Hybrid Mount setup wizard seems to be a bit iffy. Anything I should check in the way my Qnap is configured?
@yuki1 , try (for a test) to enable SMB1, on the shared windows machine and see if it works then, if yes, then open a ticket with QNAP to complain about that deficiency/issue/bug (and disable SMB1 again)
