I have an h474. I’m failing at setting up Virtualization Station. I have two other NAS devices and don’t have this problem with them. So when I want to create or migrate a VM on the h474, I can’t get past the following point
As soon as I try to select the storage location, I can’t proceed any further. I’ve already let the search run for over 30 minutes. No success. Did I miss something?
I can’t select a storage location. I encounter the same issue under Preferences. I want to select a folder, but then the same thing happens as described. I don’t get the option to choose a folder because the system only displays “Loading”.
I had installed both RAID arrays from my old NAS into the new NAS. After I felt I had tried everything and couldn’t get any further with support, I decided to completely reset the NAS. I initiated this via Control Panel (Reinitialize NAS).
I noticed that when installing an app, I no longer had to select a storage pool (on the new NAS). Just for your information, I have a RAID5 (NVMe) and a RAID1 (HDD).
After setting up the NAS again, the first app I installed was “Virtualization Station.” Bingo, I was able to choose the storage location. Of course, I had previously set up the RAIDs and shared folders.
