So I see that QNAP released a ton of new products at the 2025 Computex show in Taiwan. But unlike other years - where we would see countless “bad quality” YouTube videos on the new products - I have not even seen ONE new promotional video from QNAP. The only thing - and the only person, I have seen discussing any of this, has been Robby from NAScompares. Not one other peep from anyone, including QNAP’s own marketing !

Yeah…with the recent disk lock “scandal” at Synology and the resulting wave of people looking for other NAS solutions (see the QNAP reddit for plenty of topics about it) A large scale media coverage would have been nice and probably a good bump for undecided switchers (they always want the latest and greatest products to sink their $$$ into)
QNAP does all sorts of webinars all the time…they could have done a product info webcast a few days after Computex (if not a “during” prerecorded one)
because I do “enterprise” systems, I don’t look at consumer products like the 2 and 4 bay systems (from QNAP, Synology, etc.) - but UGreen came along, and all these Synology guys are saying “screw Synology - I am switching to UGreen” - even though QNAP makes this stuff, and so does Asustor and Terramaster. I have no idea of how UGreen got their “presence” done so quickly, - but they are taking advantage of Synology’s stupidity.
