Why parallel version streams for QuTS hero?

Hi QNAP folks! This question is for QuTS hero users and QNAP staff.

QuTS hero 6 is now out-of-beta. So, why are QNAP still releasing QuTS hero 5 versions when QuTS hero 6 is available?

Historically, QNAP have temporarily maintained parallel firmware version streams when a new major firmware version isn’t supported on older hardware.

Is there anything in QuTS hero 6 that won’t run on NAS models compatible with QuTS hero 5? Presumably, QuTS hero 5 is upgradable to 6?

How long will QuTS hero 5 versions be released?

Maybe QNAP has some support agreements for hardware that is incompatible with QuTS 6?

I remember that QNAP developed 5.2.x (?) for a few versions when some fibre controllers were unsupported on later kernel OS versions.

Pure speculation of course
