Before I pull the trigger and upgrade my laptop from Win10 to 11, I want to make sure that my NetBak data will restore on Win11 if there’s a major crash on the upgrade and I have to do a major rebuild.
When you mentioned “NetBak,” were you referring to NetBak PC Agent or NetBak Replicator? I’m guessing it’s NetBak PC Agent, is that correct?
Also, I’d like to understand your usage scenario better. Are you looking to perform a full system backup or simply a data-only backup?
If it’s a full system backup, are you hoping to restore to Windows 10 if you encounter issues after upgrading to Windows 11? Thanks!
Yes, your guess was right in that I’m using NetBak PC Agent on all my workstations at home. And you make a good point about full backup vs data only, and I honestly couldn’t remember so I had to go back and look. I went to Edit Job and still couldn’t tell. The only thing I can see is the estimated file size of the backup is 500MB and when looking at the used capacity of my C drive, that’s the amount of used space shown. Therefore, I would presume that I have it set up as a full backup.
If this is the case, would I then need to uninstall/reinstall and reset the backup as data only before migrating to Win11?
