Hello.
On June 26, I finished migrating from two TS-462 to TS-664 and TS-464. Everything was working.
On the evening of the 27th, all Windows devices lost access to TS-664 via SMB.
At the same time, all Android devices connect to it perfectly, see all the folders, and get access according to permissions.
Meanwhile, there are no issues with the TS-464.
Both devices are set up exactly the same.
I’ve checked all the settings, can’t find the cause.
Need help.
What specific firmware version were you running and what specific version did you upgrade to?
What level of SMB do you have set on the NAS and what level of SMB do you have configured on your Windows devices? What version of Windows are you running?
All Windows devices are running Windows 11 Home 25H2.
All updates are installed.
SMB settings are at default, I haven’t changed anything.
Both NAS devices have firmware QTS 5.2.9.3499 (the latest at the moment).
All apps are updated to the latest versions.
The NAS supports SMB 2, 2.1, 3.
I noticed that in Windows, in Media Devices, there’s a Media Streaming shortcut from the TS-464, but there’s no shortcut from the TS-664, even though the Media Streaming Add-on is enabled on the NAS.
Thanks everyone. The issue is resolved.
I checked all the settings of the TS-664 several times, everything is correct.
On the evening of the 27th, another Windows update came through, after which the problem appeared.
In the end, I solved the problem in the following way:
- In the Windows terminal, I typed the command: control /name Microsoft.CredentialManager to open the Windows Credential Manager.
- In the Windows Credentials section, I deleted all old entries and manually entered the path, login, and password for the TS-664.
- I restarted the computer, and everything worked.
