Desktop on Webpage Completely Wiped out

So this morning I refresh the page for my TVS-673XT and find out that my entire desktop on the web page has been completely wiped out. I have only Control Panel, Storage and Snapshots and AppCenter. Everything else is gone. The apps are all still installed but just not showing on the desktop.

Anyone else ever seen this?

OK. Strange. Looks like it was related to an expired session in another browser tab. I re-logged into that tab and everything is back. What’s odd is that even on another machine the same desktop behavior was observed.

Is this normal? I’ve seen it happen when a session is expired on a particular browser tab but not on other logged in tabs and certainly not on another machine…

reminds me of this, that user also had issues with the desktop resetting

Yeah, I knew there was a thread recently that was similar but couldn’t find it.

It seems to be related to the fact that the NAS knows there’s an expired session in a browser and so it won’t show the entire desktop. Maybe for security reasons? I don’t know. It’s strange as it doesn’t matter what machine you are on. It just won’t send the entire desktop down until that expired session is closed or refreshed.

Yesterday only connect with one Browser, after just refreshing the page, the desktop wiped out with no reason.

Completely close all possible open browser tabs on any machines that have accessed the QNAP. Clear your cache.

Then try it again.

Yes i can try but the behaviour is very strange. I reorganize the desktop with another PC and then on my laptop at home relogin to NAS and get the new dektop organization without wiping the cache or restart the browser. Yesterday, whe the desktop wipeout, no change on it’s organization no update (App or firmware) just refresh the page because the web browser admin interface seem’s to be stuck.
