I’m using QSync Client on MacOS & Windows, but since few days I got warning on my Mac due to old version version of Qsync Client made for Intel processor version.
This version will be not support any more with new version of Mac OS and Apple silicon processor.
On windows I have a version v6.0.1.0410, but on MacOs version don’t change since a long time.
When new version with native Apple silicon instead of Intel will be available?
Because if new version will be not available, Apple user will have troubles. And may can’t use it anymore.
I have the same concern. QNAP Qsync is the last app I have that needs Rosetta. Apple Silicon has been in the market for years. It’s time for QNAP to update the app.
Thanks for the heads-up. A Universal build of Qsync for Mac — running natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel — is already in the works. It’ll be included in the next major release of the Qsync Mac client.
Thanks for your quick answer.
For info next version of MacOS 27 planned september 2026 will not support anymore application done for intel processor only.
So this becomes really urgent because it’s in 3 months, other while MacOS user will not be able to use your product anymore.
is it also ensured that the app will work well and won’t just be a beta version? Especially when the NAS is offline, synchronization can start to stumble. I hope special attention will be paid to this.
OK everyone, breathe. Apple is still supporting Intel based apps in Tahoe. The next major release of OS X won’t. But the non-beta release likely won’t be until September. And no one is twisting your arm to upgrade to it.
I am finally running Tahoe now but only because my previous MacMini died. On my laptop I am running Sequoia. It’s always best to wait a while after Apple releases a new OS before upgrading.
