[Security Updates]

  • Applied multiple security updates to further enhance system security.

[Enhancement]

Network & Virtual Switch

  • Improved the DHCP server creation and editing process. When creating a DHCP server, you can also set reserved IP addresses. It is now also possible to create a DHCP server when the adapter is using a DHCP IP address, although we still strongly recommend using a static IP address.
  • You can now directly set the DHCP IP address of a client device as a reserved IP address.
  • Adapter connection statuses are now displayed in “Network > Interfaces > Thunderbolt”.

Storage & Snapshot

  • Updated Western Digital Device Analytics (WDDA) to version 8.70.5 for improved stability.

[Fixed Issues]

  • Resolved an unusual issue where some users experienced RAID group and shared folder errors after a firmware update.
  • Fixed an issue where ARM-based NAS models could not join a Windows Server 2025 domain.
  • Resolved a rare issue in the kernel-mode SMB daemon that caused the NAS to stop responding for some users.
  • Fixed a log message that displayed the wrong operating system.
  • Addressed a UI issue in the App Center settings window when the display language was set to French.
  • Fixed an issue in Control Panel where right-clicking an empty area would open a context menu with the “Create Shortcut” action.
  • Improved WebDAV transfer speeds.
  • Improved the login authentication mechanism on certain NAS models.
  • Fixed an issue where even though the QDA-A2AR adapter was already running the latest firmware, the system would still notify users that there was a newer firmware version available.
  • Fixed an issue where after restarting the NAS, the system would incorrectly indicate that port trunking groups were degraded. - Fixed an issue for some users where after a firmware update, the DNS setting for a virtual switch might disappear and become unconfigurable.

updated my TS-435XeU and it running propely.

I’m getting reboots with this firmware on my TS-332x. They seem to be related to when the system is “reclaiming space”. The event log just says “the system was not shut down properly”.

Going back to previous firmware to see if that fixes the issue.

Personally I would also raise a ticket with QNAP to see if they can investigate this issue otherwise future updates will not have any fix in place and you would suffer the same thing again.

also worth running the “check file system” feature on your QNAP

Updated my TS-364.
The NAS and all Apps are running correctly.

I’ve updated my TS-451A, and it seems to run everything OK!

Same problem here with a TS-932PX.
Unexpected daily night (~3:00 AM) reboot, I don’t know why even.
QNAP support ticket created.

Did you test a rollback/downgrade to the 5.2.3.3006 version (it work?) ?

Same here - TS832XU-RP…

And all of those with issues seem to be ‘x32’ models - Annupurna CPU’s…

Ticket also raised.

Rolled back to 5.2.3.3006 6-days ago and so far no more issues…

I received a response yesterday from QNAP support stating that the problem had indeed been identified by R&D.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t continue experiencing unexpected reboots. So, I rolled back to 5.2.3.3006 yesterday morning.
Today, 1 day and 1 hour of uptime, no reboot.
The problem was indeed due to firmware 5.2.4.3079 I think.
If the problems are only encountered on xxx32 NAS with AnnapurnaLabs (ARM) CPUs, it’s probably a binary compiled in x86 (not ARM) that’s lurking…

Hello
I have a NAS TS-433. I also updated to version 5.2.4.3079, from the latest 5.1.9 and I had a problem with Boxafe.
Boxafe 1.5 no longer works.
It tells me it can’t find the web server page.
I also activated the web server, but nothing happened.
Has anyone had the same problem???

Contact QNAP Support then

Hello
Boxafe 1.5 has not been maintained since July 2022. You must use Boxafe 2 now.

There is already a new firmware version that solves this problem.
Greetings.

My TVS-h1688x has randomly rebooted 2x at around 8am since 5.2.4.3079. I thought it might be the UPS so I ordered a new UPS arriving tomorrow evening. IN the meantime I decided to run fie system check on volume 1 after reading this thread. It stalls out at 72,8% every time and I have to reboot to recover. When it stalls out CPU use drops to 0-1%. I will put in a ticket when I have time to jump through all the hoops that entails.

Check if you have today an update of the firmware where they solve these random reboots, if I am not mistaken is the 5.2.4.3092 Build 20250403, I do not know if this available for your device.

Hello all,
I have a lot of reboots with 5.2.4.3079, I have installed 5.2.4.3092 but it does not solved the problem… Roll back to 5.2.3.3006 yesterday and no reboot since I do it :face_with_monocle: My NAS is a TS 230 working fine for years.

So far after reverting to 5.2.3.3006 Friday evening no random reboots. Holding breath! TVS-h1688x
