Has anyone else started experiencing Time Machine backup failures after updating to Tahoe26?
I’m going crazy. According to the QNAP official website, Tahoe26’s Time Machine can’t use non-ASCII characters… which means Chinese characters can’t be used… e04… Does anyone have more information? I’ve been discussing the issue with Apple Support for a week and it’s been completely useless.
Apple itself has implemented some AFP-related restrictions, which have also been mentioned in English discussion forums.

The solution mentioned on Reddit is to first disable AFP and then try using SMB3…
However, I personally haven’t updated my work macOS yet, and in my work environment, I’m not eager to update and test right away…
