What process ? (driver install for the virtual NIC?)
What computer are you using ? (OS,etc)

I thought the QNAP would present a hardware device with a plug and play driver, best to have QNAP have a look

Quick access is just a virtual network connection anyways, it’s a NAS and stays a NAS
I tried it with a MacBook Pro and had the same problem. I need that feature to quickly connect to drives over any network.
That’s not what USB QuickAccess is for.
The NAS doesn’t need to be connected directly to a computer to make its shares available on your LAN. It only needs to be connected to your LAN (usually via Ethernet).
If you use USB QuickAccess, only the computer connected to it can see your data.
That’s what I want to do. I need to connect from a computer but not from a local network. I can’t connect to a computer via USB in QuickAssess.
Open a ticket with QNAP then (maybe a driver issue or something borked after a firmware update)
Quick Access is simply a virtual network adapter
Works OK here on a TS-251A. Connected a USB3-A to Micro-B from laptop to the quick access socket on the NAS. Didn’t change any settings.
Started Qfinder on the laptop, clicked the refresh icon on the toolbar, popup appeared “Device Support USB Quick Access Detected” etc, etc, clicked Yes, a window opened showing all my shared folders.
Qfinder also displays a “USB Quick Access” icon in it’s toolbar at the right when the cable is connected - clicking on that shows your shared folders too.
Can only think of rebooting the NAS and making sure it’s a decent USB 3.0 cable less than 1m long.
Qfinder does not connect to me. The QuickAccess icon does not appear. The cable is short and I tried another one with the same result. Qfinder finds the NAS with the 0.0.0.0 address and there is no access.
Have you configured the IP address and other USB Quick Access settings in Network & Virtual Switch?
Unable to configure NAS.
What does that mean? Please provide more detail. Did you follow the instructions in the provided documents?
I can’t configure anything on my device. It simply doesn’t allow me to change anything in the areas related to USB QuickAccess.
